Inther Logistics Engineering sold two Automated Document Applicators (ADA’s) to Boston Scientific in Kerkrade, the Netherlands. Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC) is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices. The European Distribution Center (EDC) of Boston Scientific is situated in Kerkrade and strong in innovation of their processes based on a 5 year Technology Vision.
Within the Boston Scientific Kerkrade Technology Vision two Automated Document Applicators, machines which fully automate the application of documents to the exterior of boxes, will be implemented in order to improve the efficiency of the packing process and enhance the trustworthiness.
Till now invoices and other documents are attached to the shipping carton manually. With the Automated Document Applicators the complete process of printing, folding and application will be automated.
The two ADA’s will be implemented at the end of 2016.
