Jungheinrich has won its second IFOY Award in the ‘Warehouse Truck Highlifter’ category, with the Jungheinrich EKX 516k. This 80V man-up truck lifts loads of up to 1,600 kg to heights of 17.5 metres.
The key factor behind the decision was the extremely high degree of innovation, as confirmed by the IFOY Innovation Check. In the words of the jury: “With the introduction of the new EKX 5 series, Jungheinrich has significantly raised the bar in the segment of high rack stackers.”
The jury named the high degree of innovation as the main reason for its choice. In the verdict of the jury, the features that make the truck a one-of-a-kind are the modular platform concept, the lightweight design, the passive load sway damping system – fitted to an NVA truck for the first time – and the synchronous reluctance motor technology, another first. The jury added that the Jungheinrich EKX impressively raises the bar in the segment of highlifters.
During the award ceremony Jungheinrich also received an IFOY for its purpose-built EJQ 325.
